Windows 8 OS has also bee critised by Valve and Blizzard
Minecraft videogame creator Markus 'Notch' Persson had criticised Microsoft for its gaming strategy in its upcoming Winddows 8 operating system, saying that the software major is ruining its gaming ecosystem.
Minecraft criticism follows similar comments from Valve and publisher Activision Blizzard.
Persson has also refused to allow Microsoft to certify it for inclusion in the Windows 8 gaming marketplace.
Persson tweeted that he had received an email from Microsoft, wanting to help 'certify' minecraft for win 8 (Windows 8).
"I told them to stop trying to ruin the PC as an open platform," Persson said.
"I'd rather have minecraft not run on win 8 at all than to play along. Maybe we can convince a few people not to switch to win 8 that way."
Microsoft is seeking games to be authorised to become visible in the Windows 8 game store, as the unauthorized games would be played in the OS, but they wouldn't be displayed in the store's listings.
Earlier, Valve, Valve operates Steam - an alternative games store marketplace, had fired off a barrage of criticism at Windows 8 that it would be 'catastrophe for everyone in the PC space'.
The new OS was also critisised by Blizzard - the developer of Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft, saying that Windows 8 was "not awesome for Blizzard either".
