Friends and relatives of two brothers gunned down outside of a Florida bar last year brawled with supporters of the suspect outside of a courthouse moments after a "stand your ground" hearing was postponed.
Jeremy Milyon, family friend of victims Joel and James Kun, is accused of starting the bloody melee by punching James ?Zeke? Parker, stepfather of accused killer Jayson Clair.
"You want a piece of me? Let's go," Parker stated, according to an arrest report obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
The dead brothers' father, James Kun Sr., 45, joined the fight and traded punches with Parker, according to the newspaper.
Milyon, Parker and James Kun Sr. were charged in the melee, and will not be allowed to attend the murder trial, set to start in October.
Several people were injured in the brawl, including Milyon, who was treated for an undisclosed injury after complaining of a broken jaw, according to the Sentinel.
St. Cloud Detective Christian Anderson, who worked on the murder case, was unintentionally struck in the back of the head, authorities told the Sentinel.
Authorities say Clair, 27, fatally shot Joel and James Kun, 21 and 23, outside Len's Dug-Out Pub in St. Cloud in June 2011. Clair claims he shot the brothers out of fear for his life, but authorities say he left the bar, drove away and returned with a gun before shooting the Kuns.
The suspect is also accused of pointing his handgun at the Kuns' mother and threatening to shoot her as well, according to the Sentinel.
Charged with first-degree murder, Clair remains held without bail in the county jail. No new date has been set for the "stand your ground" hearing, which may be crucial to Clair's defense.
Enacted in Florida in 2005, the "stand your ground" law states that a person is justified in the use of deadly force and has no duty to retreat in certain situations.
