ASHLAND, OR?Ashland resident Heidi Merker announced the opening of her new business
today, Heidi?s Real Nutrition, based in Ashland, Oregon and serving the entire Rogue Valley.
Through one-on-one education and food counseling sessions, Heidi?s Real Nutrition guides
clients through making conscious food choices, healing emotional eating patterns, and learning
the European art of aging later and living longer. Heidi creates a customized meal, supplement
and exercise plan to help clients reach optimum health and vitality.
What sets Heidi apart from her peers is a focus on emotional healing from a lifetime of poor
habits and over eating. Rather than just prescribe a new diet, Heidi focuses on helping clients get
to the root of the problem and find permanent solutions and ultimately lead a vibrant, healthy
life.
Ms. Merker studied naturopathy in Germany and spent the past 15 years guiding hundreds of
clients to improved health by focusing on nutrition and healthy lifestyle. In 2008 Heidi relocated to
Ashland, Oregon to expand her focus on emotional healing work. It is her goal to help her clients
connect with and heal their emotional eating patterns to live a long, vibrant life.
With the launch of her new Ashland business, Ms. Merker is offering a special, one-time free
presentation about the connection between Food, Emotions and Weight Loss. This will be
an interactive presentation and Heidi requests attendees bring their own questions and
concerns about nutrition, emotional eating and weight loss. The talk takes place Tuesday,
September 25, 7pm at the Ashland Library. While this special presentation is offered at no
